Live Life Contractor-Behavioral Aide/Parent Aide/Transporter

Location: 

Region 1- Cattoosa, Cherokee, Gilmer, Pickens

Region 2- Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin, White

Region 13- Gwinnett

Type: Contractor

Min. Experience: Entry Level

The Contractor-Behavioral Aide/Parent Aide/Transporter collaborates with the Department of Family and Child Services to provide behavior aide, parent aide and transportation services for foster children and their caregivers/parents.


The counties include but not limited to include: Forsyth, Hall, Dawson, Lumpkin, White. Often transportation is requested to and from other surrounding metro counties. 


 Responsibilities:

· Assist families who are involved with DFCS (Dept. of Family and Children Services) in building parental capacity and/or work towards reunification through parent skills training and linkage to community resources.

· Facilitate and supervise visitation between approved parents and children.

· Provide transportation services for purposes of supervised visitation between approved parents and children.

· Collaborate with case managers, other contractors and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration, advocate for the benefit and well-being of the children and families you are serving.


Behavior Aide, Parent Aide, Supervised Visit Educational/Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field OR high school diploma and five years experience in the human-services field.  Human Services degrees which are acceptable: Psychology, Sociology, Counseling (religious counseling is not acceptable) Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Criminal Justice (only with Juvenile experience/DJJ), Education (experience teaching K-12 grade)

Contractor- Transporter

Type: Contractor

Min. Experience: Mid Level


The Therapist/Assessor collaborates with the Department of Family and Child Services to provide therapy and assessment services for foster children and their families.


The counties include but not limited to include: Forsyth, Hall, Dawson, Lumpkin, White. Often transportation is requested to and from other surrounding metro counties.  Option of telehealth.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to children, adolescents and/or adults in assigned region/counties.
  • Document case notes in online electronic medical record system (Ecase).
  • Collaborate with case managers, other contractors and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration, advocate for the benefit and well-being of the children and families you are serving.
     

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in either counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or similar field and eligible for provisional/clinical license OR in possession of provisional or clinical licensed Counselors applying must have one of the following licenses: An LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAPC, LMSW, or LAMFT. Or a master’s level counselor who is eligible to obtain a license.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with using the internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to document case notes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to function as a member for a multi-disciplinary treatment team and work cooperatively with other agency providers
  • Ability to conduct oneself professionally and ethically with clients, co-providers and community partners
  • Ability to contact DFCS Case Managers and clients within 48 hours of obtaining referral
